From May 18–22, we hosted Dawid Siemek at the department – a geomorphologist working on his doctoral dissertation at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Management of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Under the supervision of Karol Tylmann, Dawid worked both in our laboratories and in the field. Our guest gained valuable knowledge on sampling for cosmogenic isotope analyses, as well as sample preparation and measurement procedures.
Over five days in Gdańsk, Dawid got to know our team, put in solid hours in the laboratory, joined a field trip, caught the May picnic organized by the University of Gdańsk, and attended the department seminar – where he bombarded our guest speaker with questions! After hours, he spent time getting to know our doctoral students. Thank you for your visit, and we hope to see you again!
Dawid’s stay was made possible by funding from the Jagiellonian University.
