Between June 15–17, an international symposium, the “Climate Change and History Research Initiative (CCHRI) 2026 Annual Colloquium: Cultural-Biological Co-evolution and Climate Change in the Holocene,” was held in Toruń. Sambor Czerwiński took part in the conference, presenting a paper titled “Forest Recovery between the Baltic and the Danube during the Migration Period and the Early Middle Ages” together with Petr Pokorný from the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (pol. Uniwersytet Południowoczeski w Czeskich Budziejowicach). The talk addressed forest recovery in Central Europe during the Migration Period and the early Middle Ages, and how this process varied between regions.
