Even though it’s summer break, we haven’t put teaching on hold – this time in a slightly different format, and for a younger audience than usual.
On August 14–15, Aleksandra Orłowska and our master’s student Anastazja Mastylak led workshops at the Experyment Science Centre (Centrum Nauki Experyment) in Gdynia. The workshops were part of our Faculty’s broader collaboration with the centre. They were also an opportunity to advance the main goal of a project on closed depressions in the Tricity Landscape Park (Trójmiejski Park Krajobrazowy), funded by the Fahrenheit Universities (Uczelnia Fahrenheita) and titled “The Depths of the Tricity Forests – Small Depressions, Big Impact” (pol. „Głębia Trójmiejskich Lasów – małe zagłębienia, wielki wpływ”).
Participants had the chance to learn about wetlands and their role in the landscape, and to carry out hands-on experiments on topics including water retention in the environment.
