Between 22–24 June, the 5th Scientific Conference of Polish Sea Researchers „State and Trends of Changes in the Marine Environment” (pol. V Konferencja Naukowa Polskich Badaczy Morza „Stan i trendy zmian środowiska morskiego”) was held at the Pomeranian University in Słupsk. Our Department was represented by Damian Moskalewicz, who presented a paper titled “Storms from the Pages of History and Their Traces on the Coasts of the Southern Baltic” (pol. „Sztormy z kart historii i ich ślady na wybrzeżach południowego Bałtyku”). In his talk, he focused in particular on comparing the geomorphological effects of the storms of 1872 and 2023, which struck the Schleimünde peninsula in the western Baltic.
