On the last day of April, as is our Thursday tradition, we had the pleasure of hosting Haidee Cadd from the University of Wollongong (Australia). In her talk titled “The ecological legacy of fire in flammable landscapes – understanding the past to improve our future,” Haidee presented the challenges Australia faces in the context of fire events, and how research into their past variability helps us better understand ecosystem behavior.
