New PhD students

We are delighted to welcome two new PhD students to the team at the Department of Geomorphology and Quaternary Geology! Two of our recent graduates have decided to continue their academic careers within our unit.

Aleksandra Orłowska will pursue the topic ” The history of fires in the Victoria Region, Australia, in the light of sediment analyses from maar lakes of the Newer Volcanic Province”, under the supervision of Wojciech Tylmann, with the support of Alicja Bonk.

Miłosz Majerowski will work on the topic “Record of weathering processes in selected profiles of glacial tills from the last glaciation in northern Poland”, supervised by Piotr Woźniak and supported by Damian Moskalewicz.

Last week, Ola and Miłosz also opened this year’s seminar series of our Department by presenting the results of their master’s theses.
