While on their way to this year’s INQUA Peribaltic Group conference, Karol Tylmann, together with Piotr Woźniak, Olga Reutt, and Sanjaya Gurung, didn’t waste any time — instead, they collected samples for cosmogenic isotope dating.
This time, their target was a set of rocks in the Sudety Foreland in Lower Silesia, near Zgorzelec, and in the Saxony region of Germany — most likely shaped by glacial processes.
All of this was part of Karol’s research grant focused on dating the penultimate ice sheet — the Odra glaciation.
