About me

My research interests focus on the coastal zone of the sea. I am particularly interested in geomorphological processes unfolding before our eyes, the effects of which directly impact people, society, and the economy. In my doctoral work, I assessed how conditions on the seabed in the nearshore zone (geological structure, relief, the availability of sandy sediments on the seabed surface, and lithodynamics) influence changes in beaches and dunes. I am currently focused on developing new methods for monitoring many‑kilometre stretches of coastline using GIS software and remote sensing data. I am developing my own programming tools and trying to apply algorithms that automate geomorphological research, including tools based on artificial intelligence.
