About me

I am a physical geographer specialising in glacial geomorphology. Most of my work focuses on reconstructing the dynamics and chronology of former ice-sheet retreat (mainly the southern sector of the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet) based on geomorphological and sedimentological analyses as well as sediment dating. In my research, I use geochronological methods (primarily cosmogenic nuclide dating), GIS-based analysis of digital elevation models, and sedimentological techniques.

I am currently involved in several projects concerning the reconstruction of processes linked to the retreat of the southern sector of the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet, exposure dating of erratic boulders, and post-depositional transformations of tills.

I teach laboratory classes in sedimentology and Quaternary geology, a lecture course in geology, the lecture “Determinants of Geomorphological Diversity of Northern Poland”, and the course “Cosmogenic Nuclides in Geology” for students of geography, geology, environmental protection, and physical geography with geoinformation.
