About me

I am a sedimentologist and geomorphologist. I completed my studies at Adam Mickiewicz University (geology, stratigraphic–exploration specialization), the University of Gdańsk (geography, specialization in geomorphology and Quaternary geology), and Gdańsk University of Technology (computer science). I earned my PhD at the University of Gdańsk at the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography. I conduct scientific research and teach students, as well as provide consulting and research services within my areas of expertise.

I use grain‑size analyses, heavy‑mineral studies, statistical methods, and remote‑sensing analyses in research on the coastal zone of the sea, the geology of the Baltic Sea basin, and Pleistocene glaciations. My current work focuses on the following topics: 1) Storm deposits and storm‑generated landforms on the coasts of the southern Baltic, 2) Reconstructions of sediment‑transport directions in the Baltic Sea basin, and 3) Weathering effects in glacial tills from the last glaciation.

I teach lectures and practical classes for students of Geology, Geography, and Physical Geography with Geoinformation. I devote most of my time to the courses “Statistical Methods in Geology” (for Geology students) and “Geology” (for Geography students). I involve students in projects, internships, and conferences, supporting their personal and academic development.
