I am a geochemist who has previously worked with biomarker proxies for paleoenvironmental reconstruction and studies of anthropogenic impacts in aquatic systems. I completed my BS-MS Dual Degree with Majors in Chemical Sciences with a Minor in Earth Science from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali, India. Later, I extended my research with National Institute of Oceanography, Goa to understand the geochemistry of methane seeps present in the deep-ocean sediments.

Currently, in my Doctoral research, I am investigating Holocene environmental changes in the Eastern Carpathians through a multi-proxy reconstruction from varved sediments of Lake Synevyr, Ukraine. My research involves sediment dating through varve counting and isotope methods, as well as non-destructive analyses (XRF scanning and hyperspectral imaging), along with sedimentological and geochemical analyses. I am interested in understanding the interactions between climate variability, anthropogenic activity, and their impact on aquatic systems.
