On April 9, our good friend Mariusz Lamentowicz from the Institute of Geoecology and Geoinformation at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań paid us a visit. During the seminar, Mariusz presented a talk entitled “Peatlands at the Edge: Long-Term Ecology, Tipping Points, and Restoration Limits.”
The lecture shed light on what determines the condition of wetland areas, how their functioning has changed over time, what the future may hold for them, and how they can be restored to a healthy state.
