Without a doubt, we have started the new year with a focus on erratic boulders and the ice sheet. On Thursday, January 8, as part of our departmental seminars, Sanjaya Gurung presented the progress of his doctoral research. In his talk entitled “Surface exposure dating of Saalian erratic boulders with in-situ cosmogenic ¹⁰Be and ²⁶Al at the southern periphery of the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet”, he introduced the research area, shared initial results, and discussed the unexpected challenges he faces during his work. We look forward to further results and the development of interpretations!
