Summer in full swing, and along with it, the season of summer schools. From July 8th to 12th, our students, together with Karol Tylmann, participated in the summer school titled ‘Remote Sensing And Dendrochronology In Natural Hazard Research,’ organized by Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The school focused on dendrogeomorphology and the application of ‘dendro’ methods in studying geomorphic processes in mountainous areas. During the event, Karol also delivered a lecture on ‘Remote sensing applications.’
Besides us, students from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Romania also took part. It was truly a great opportunity for expanding knowledge. For us, it was something new and entirely different, and international integration progressed with each moment.
The event was funded under the Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) – Erasmus+ initiative.
